Wastewater (Sewer) Rates

These rates apply to general domestic, commercial and industrial customers.

Rates for Customers with Metered Water Supply

• First 3,000 gallons/month: $18.41 per 1,000 gallons
• Next 3,000 gallons/month: $16.24 per 1,000 gallons
• Next 4,000 gallons/month: $13.89 per 1,000 gallons
• Over 10,000 gallons/month: $11.66 per 1,000 gallons

There is a minimum charge of $55.23 per month for every metered customer.

Flat Rate for Customers with Non-Metered Water Supply

• $79.59 per month—the equivalent of 4,500 gallons per month water usage.

Billing & Payment Policies

Tap Fee

A tap fee of $350 will be charged to all customers applying for service for each new tap to the system outside of a certificate. These charges apply whenever the utility installs a new tap to serve the applicant.

Leak Adjustment Rate

A charge of $2.17 per 1,000 gallons will be used when a bill reflects unusual consumption which can be attributed to eligible leakage on the customer’s side of the meter. This rate shall be applied to all consumption above the customer’s historical average.

Security Deposit

A deposit of $50.00 or 2/12ths of the average annual usage of the applicant’s customer class, whichever it greater.

Delayed Payment Penalty

The above rate schedule is net. A 10% penalty fee will be added to the net current amount on all accounts not paid in full when due. This delayed payment penalty is not interest and is to be collected only once for each bill where it is appropriate.

Returned Check Charge

A service charge equal to the bank fee assessed to the sewer utility, or a maximum of $25, will be imposed upon a customer whose check for payment is returned by the bank due to insufficient funds.
